Pastor Ben Hays

About Our Pastor

Pastor Hays grew up in a Christian home and accepted Christ as his personal Saviour at a young age.  He attended Fairhaven Baptist College in Chesterton, Indiana where he met his lovely wife, Debbie. They were married in 2005. After college, he received more practical training while working under Pastor David Smith of First Bible Baptist Church in Harmony, Pennsylvania.

Pastor Hays was then sent out of his local church to pastor Life and Liberty Baptist Church of Walkersville, Maryland where he and his family served for fourteen years.  On Sunday, September 13, 2026, Pastor Hays became the pastor of Pioneer Baptist Church in Thurmont, Maryland.  He and his family are thrilled to be in the center of God's will serving the Lord.

Mrs. Debbie Hays also grew up in a Christian home in Auburn, New York.  She was saved under the ministry of Pastor David Dunbar of Freedom Baptist Church there in Auburn.  Debbie's family has been in the same Baptist church for over 30 years.  They are the type of family every pastor desires. Her father has been a faithful help to his pastor for many years.
